3D-Buddha Model
This was a final project during my study abroad in Thailand. We spent the whole semester learning about Thai art traditions, and this is an implementation of what I've learned throughout that semester from this course.

Research
This project was challenging due to my limited knowledge of 3D rendering and model sculpting. To ensure I respected the historical and cultural significance of Buddha sculptures, I conducted extensive research into traditional and modern representations of Buddha. I also consulted with five professors throughout the project to gain valuable insights and guidance.
Design
The design process began with selecting the right software to bring my vision to life. I experimented with various programs and ultimately decided on "Nomad Sculpt," an app for my iPad that I found to be the best fit for my needs. Before diving into 3D sculpting, I used Procreate to create initial 2D sketches and digital mockups, giving me a clear vision before going into rendering.
Development
After much trial and error, I taught myself how to use Nomad Sculpt’s features, watching tutorials and practicing different sculpting techniques. I worked diligently to refine the form, focusing on details like facial expressions, hand gestures, and the intricate robes that are key to traditional Buddha sculptures.
Concept
The concept behind the project was to create a 3D Buddha that reflected everything I had learned in my Thai art course. I incorporated elements of traditional Thai Buddha designs while adding my unique artistic interpretation. Through continuous learning and feedback, I successfully created a 3D Buddha sculpture that captured the essence of the class and my growth as an artist.
